[Publish] Sharing posts multiple times using the Power Scheduler
There is so much content shared on social media every day that it’s impossible to see it all! The same is true of your content. Chances are, as much as your audience might enjoy reading your articles or seeing your latest tweet, they are likely missing out on most of them. That is why it could be vital to re-share your content multiple times, to ensure the people who missed it the first time, might see it the second or third time around.
One of the tools that can help you share content multiple times through Buffer is the Power Scheduler. The Power Scheduler is part of the Buffer Browser Extension, which you can grab here if you don’t already have it installed. Follow the steps below to use the Power Scheduler.
Find an article or page that you would like to share and click on the Buffer icon at the top of your browser. This will open up the composer where you’ll be able to click on the the Power Scheduler button at the top left of the page.
Select the social accounts you'd like to share the article to.
Please note, you can only choose up to 9 social accounts to share to when using the Power Scheduler.
You can then customize the days you’d like the page or article to be shared and add more times by clicking on the +Add another link at the bottom.
Please note, you can only choose up to 8 additional posting times to share to when using the Power Scheduler.
Below each social account, click on the + icons to share the post for any of the days listed on the left hand side. The post can be customized for each time selected and for each social account, which allows you to have a different message every time the article is shared. For example, you could start off with simply sharing the title of the article along with an image. The second time, you could include a nice quote from the article, and maybe the third time you could include a nice GIF. Your imagination is the limit here!
Once you are done preparing all your different posts, click Add All Updates to Queue and all the posts will be added to the appropriate queues to be published at the appropriate custom times.
And you're done! You can now rest easy knowing your articles will continue to be shared in the days and weeks ahead, without you having to do anything else.
You might spot that the Power Scheduler tab is not available when using the Buffer Browser Extension to schedule retweets. This is due to Twitter only allowing retweets to be shared one time. Unfortunately, if we allowed the Power Scheduler to be used for retweets, we would be overriding Twitter's policies.
