Posting images to LinkedIn

Summary

Images appear differently on LinkedIn, depending on whether you're publishing to a LinkedIn Profile or Page. Whether or not you include a link with your post can also affect how it looks once published.
Unfortunately this is not something that we can change as it is controlled by LinkedIn's API. While they have the option available for native images for Pages, this is not yet available for Profiles. We're keeping an eye out and hope this will be improved in the future.
In the meantime, here's an overview of how images will look on LinkedIn.

Sadly, animated GIFs are still not supported on LinkedIn. For more information on how GIFs will appear when shared through Buffer,  please hop over to this FAQ.

LinkedIn Profiles

On LinkedIn Profiles, images will appear as an upload hosted by Buffer.

Link & Image

Clicking on the image will take users to the link you shared.

Image Only

Clicking on the image will take users to a larger version of the image.

LinkedIn Pages

On LinkedIn Pages, images will appear natively.

Link & Image

Clicking on the image will take users to a larger view of the update.

Image Only

Similar to including a link, clicking on the image will take users to a larger view of the update.
