[Publish iOS] How to use the Buffer Browser Extension

The Buffer Browser Extension makes sharing content even quicker and easier! It allows you to open the composer on any web page and add posts right to your Queue, without having to go back to your dashboard. And you can install it on your iOS device too!

Installing the Extension

  1. Once you've installed the Buffer app on your iOS device, you'll be prompted to install the extension. Tap Install Now. If you've previously dismissed this prompt, tap the Settings icon at the bottom right of your screen, selectting Account Settings tab, and then tap Set up Extension.
  2. Tap Enable.
  3. Along the top row of icons, tap More (you may need to scroll to the right if you already have lots of icons here).
  4. Under Activities, toggle Buffer on. You can also reorder your icons here if you'd like to move Buffer further towards the beginning if you plan to use it frequently.
  5. You'll then see a message confirming that the extension has been installed. If you'd like to let your followers know that you've installed the Buffer Browser Extension, tap Create to add a post to your Queue. If not, tap Close.
  6. Finally, tap All Done!

Using the Extension

Whenever you come across a piece of content online that you would like to add to your Queue, tap the share icon and then tap Buffer. The app will open, with the title and link already included in the composer. You can make any adjustments you like and then tap Buffer to add it to your Queue!
