[Publish] Facebook Profiles can no longer be connected to Buffer Publish
You can no longer connect personal Facebook Profiles to Buffer Publish, and from July 26, 2018, you will no longer be able to post to Facebook Profiles that were previously connected. You will still be able to connect and manage Facebook Pages and Groups.
Facebook have decided to make a number of changes to their platform to improve their ecosystem and prevent spam and misuse. One of these changes includes removing the ability for third party apps (such as Buffer Publish), to post to personal Facebook Profiles on your behalf. This change comes into effect on July 26, 2018, and in preparation, we have disabled new Facebook Profile connections.
This is part of a broader change that Facebook is making to improve their ecosystem and discourage misuse of personal accounts. We believe it will have a net positive effect, especially for small businesses and organizations using healthy social media strategies with tools like Buffer Publish.
